As a Java Senior Developer, you will:

  • Work directly with multiple disciplines – hardware/software, consumer design, quality assurance, operations, marketing, business development to manage deliverables, dependencies and schedule risks
  • Work closely with UI/UX teams to make sure new features can be delivered on time
  • Continuously evaluate and communicate project status, risks and issues to upper management
  • Participate in ongoing improvements for apps already in production
  • Displays original thinking and creativity; Takes initiative and develops innovative approaches / ideas


  • Excellent core Java programming skills (6+ years) including multi-threading;
  • Practical experience of using the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Controllers);
  • Understands synchronous vs asynchronous communication – must have worked on Kafka/Rabbit MQ or some messaging system;
  • Experience in Data Access, Server Side integrations, Extensions, and building RESTful APIs;
  • Able to understand containerization using Docker;
  • Should be able to think in Java and provide solutions;
  • Should have good handle on parallel processing, Http request and response, interceptors, pre-post processors;
  • Should be able to work with Gitlab/Teamcity/Crucible for day to day build and review processes;
  • Should have strong design understanding in Java with OOPS concepts.

About the client:

TiVo is an  American corporation whose primary product was the marketing and subscription services for its TiVo branded digital video recorder (DVR) developed and marketed by TiVo Corporation and introduced in 1999. TiVo provides an on-screen guide of scheduled broadcast programming television programs, whose features include “Season Pass” schedules which record every new episode of a series, and “WishList” searches which allow the user to find and record shows that match their interests by title, actor, director, category, or keyword. TiVo also provides a range of features when the TiVo DVR is connected to a home network, including film and television show downloads, advanced search, personal photo viewing, music offerings, and online scheduling.  Since its launch in its home market of America, TiVo has also been made available in Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Taiwan, Spain, and the United Kingdom.Newer models, however, have adopted the CableCARD standard, which is only deployed in the United States.
